Volunteer
It is the policy of Habitat for Humanity that children under the age of 16 are not allowed on Habitat for Humanity worksites while construction is in progress. It is further the policy of Habitat for Humanity that, while minors between the ages of 16 and 18 may be allowed to participate in construction work, using power tools, excavation, demolition, working on rooftops and similar activities are not permitted for anyone under the age of 18.

Volunteers are welcome Tuesday through Saturday. All volunteers must have a signed release form on file before beginning work. Groups are encouraged to contact the office to arrange volunteer times. Construction site volunteers need to wear closed- toed shoes, bring work gloves, hat, water bottle and insect repellent. Office volunteers are needed Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Cars for Homes
Your car donation can help a family in Columbus build a house and have the hope of a better life! Car donations to Habitat's Cars for Homes program helps Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. It is quick and easy to donate cars, trucks, boats, RVs, trailers, construction equipment or other vehicles, and vehicle donations may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize (consult the IRS or your tax advisor for details).
