Board Member Boot Camp

We recently had a Board Member Boot Camp for our new year's start for the board. Board of Directors shadowed staff members to see what actually goes on from day to day. They applied for housing, they signed up to volunteer online, plus they learned all of the reporting and administrative responsibilities that are required. A few board members even went on a ReStore donation pick-up. The day was filled with interacting and sharing f knowledge. The group had a 90 minute tour to see areas that Habitat houses have been built in Columbus. We even fit a mini version of a home dedication for our most recent homeowner. Katara and her family of 5 who is a retired disabled veteran who is happily settling in her house.
